11.6 cm dark tooth of the Megalodon

The 11.6 cm tooth of the Carcharocles megalodon has a shiny black enamel and the dentition is still intact and palpable throughout, except for a small chipping. The dark brown root is very massive. The root has been partially restored, but this is hardly noticeable.

Age:    ca. 3 – 20 million years old (Pliocene – early Miocene)
