The 11.8 cm tooth of the Megalodon comes from the upper jaw of the prehistoric shark. The enamel is gray with brownish patterns. The tooth structure is still recognizable to some extent. The bourelette is brown and still well preserved. The darker brown root of the tooth has been eroded and smoothed over the many millions of years in the sea.
