11.1 cm dark tooth of Megalodon with sharp teeth

The 11.1 cm tooth of Carcharocles Megalodon has a shiny gray-blue dark enamel. The fine serration is well preserved and can be recognized and felt. The narrower black bourelette is still largely present. The black matt tooth root has been slightly worn away over the many millions of years. One of the nutrient grooves in the middle of the tooth root is still clearly visible. This was used to supply the tooth with nutrients during the shark's lifetime. The tooth comes from the rear area of the lower jaw of the prehistoric shark.
