2,8 cm Jaekelotodus trigonalis - shark tooth

The 2.8 cm tooth of Jaekelotodus trigonalis comes from Kazakhstan and is in excellent condition. The shape of the teeth of the now extinct Jaekelotodus trigonalis resembles that of today's sand tiger sharks. However, the tip of the tooth is more solid and thicker in this species. Jaekelotodus trigonalis is an extinct shark that lived during the Eocene epoch. Fossil teeth have been found mainly in the Paris Basin, Belgium, and the former USSR.
