The 3.1 cm large tooth of the Isurus planus as a pendant has a multi-faceted coloured enamel, which shimmers reddish or blue depending on the incidence of light. The root of the tooth is dark brown in colour. The root and parts of the enamel have been polished. The eyelet is made of 10 carat gold wire. The Isurus planus is an extinct relative of today's Mako sharks and the Great White Shark from the Upper Miocene.
