This 5.7 cm tooth of Carcharocles Auriculatus from eastern North Carolina has razor-sharp serration and shiny black bourelette. The characteristic lateral cusps are pointed and beautifully preserved. The relationship to the Megalodon: Charcharocles Auriculatus -> Carcharocles Angustidens -> Carcharocles Chubutensis -> Carcharocles Megalodon
