Der 4,9 cm fossile Zahn des Carcharocles Megalodon beitzt einen dunklen Zahnschmelz mit blauen und braunen Musterungen. Die schwarze Bourelette ist in Ansätzen noch erkennbar. Der gesamte Zahn wurde über die vielen Millionen Jahre im Meer natürlich geglättet.
