10.4 cm gray tooth of the Megalodon

The 10.4 cm tooth of the Carcharocles Megalodon has a shiny gray enamel. Most of the dentition is still preserved and can be recognized and felt. The matt black root of the tooth has been worn away and smoothed over the many millions of years in the sea, as has the bourelette. The tooth comes from the upper jaw of the prehistoric giant.
