4.1 cm wide tooth of the Mosasaurus

The 4.1 cm long tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has a darker brown enamel that is still well preserved. The tooth is relatively wide and has no obvious repairs. The mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine lizards in the Upper Cretaceous. The reptiles, which grew up to 17 metres long, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
