The 3.7 cm long and narrow tooth of Mosasaurus beaugei has very dark enamel, which makes it special. The tooth has been repaired, which is clearly visible in the pictures. Mosasaurs were a globally widespread group of predatory marine reptiles during the Late Cretaceous period. These reptiles, which grew up to 17 meters long, were among the most dangerous carnivores in the Cretaceous oceans.
